Welcome to this Blog!
It has been created to address teacher-created websites in the curriculum. I knew that websites were useful, but, as I am taking ED689, I am learning how powerful they are as teaching tools. To quote Spiderman, "With great power comes great responsibility." Therefore, it is important that websites are optimally created and maintained, and that rules are implemented to provide a professional and beneficial environment for all visitors.

Bertha,
I enjoyed reading your views on teacher created websites. I agree that with creating a classroom website, comes a lot of responsibility. The teacher takes on the the job of producing a website that will meet students, and parent needs. The website must be updated on a regular basis, and it must provide information in a way that the viewers can easily access and understand. This course has been very beneficial and I am glad that we were able to share the journey!

Bertha,
I completely agree with how powerful websites truly can be. They can say so much and and keep everyone on the same page. For parents to just be a click away to help in the success of their child is great. A powerful website can also help students get the best out of their education and to be able to always explore more. Technology can be a great thing in education if used properly as we have learned in this course. Great job!
Bertha,
You are absolutely right about technology and responsibility. I never thought about using Blogs in the classroom, but I think that it could be so beneficial in a world language classroom. I am excited about all that we've learned.
